Hayley Orrantia, an American singer-songwriter and actress. People are familiar with her because of her character in the role of Erica Goldberg on the popular comedy television series 'The Goldbergs.' Her definition of herself is an artist first and foremost. Music is her first love, she maintains; it is something she's dabbled into when she was just 9 years old. By the time she turned 12 years old, music was significant enough that she was able to start training professionally. In 2013, she took the plunge into songwriting and made her first album. It has been non-stop ever since. Orrantia was born in America, has Hispanic ancestry. She's proud of her existence of Hispanic roots, even though she was raised using English only, and did not live in Mexico. Her aim is to preserve the culture by writing Spanish songs, and also studying the Spanish language. 'Hasta Verte' a song that she wrote in Spanish is a good example. Orrantia participated in The X Factor season 1's auditions during the summer 2011. The Orrantia's YouTube video was chosen and she got four "yeses" (or votes) for the judges during The Seattle audition. At first, she auditioned as a soloist, she and three female vocalists were placed with three other singers for the last auditions in "Hollywood Week". They were eliminated in the fifth week during the live performances.
