Zoe-perry
Perry has the father of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of her two appearances on Roseanne. Her parents, however, didn't want her to pursue acting until she became older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry stated she felt shy to act during high school, but started acting in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring to the university from Boston University. Perry made her debut with New York after graduation, performing in minor roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry come back to California and find work as an actress in the theater. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her in 2013 on Broadway in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was staged at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry had an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. In addition, she played the older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite her family link to the character she got the role via an audition.
